Amarula, often referred to as the Spirit of Africa, is made from the fruit of the wild Marula tree (Sclerocarya birrea). This tree is native to sub-Saharan Africa and bears golden, plum-sized fruit with a naturally sweet, citrusy flavour. The fruit is harvested, fermented, and distilled before being aged in oak barrels to develop its distinctive creamy and slightly nutty taste—perfectly complementing the rich, buttery texture of our fudge.
